THE JINXED MARIONETTE

THE JINXED MARIONETTE

The puppeteer placed his puppets back in his trunk,
And into darkness their world now sunk.

They dreamt of the applause they could've received,

It was by the defected marionette, they were deceived.

The play was all good and filled with joy,

Till the marionette stepped in as a boy.

What all he did was never intended in the play,

It all just served to ruin other's day.

The cursed puppet should've been kept at bay,

But no puppets just puppeteer had the say.

Devoid of smile and any lustre the puppet lay,

with his own defects he had ruined the play.

Also in the box were puppets with a smile,

their smile's beauty discussed at every mile.

The things changed when the jinx stepped in,

without him, merrier, things would've been.

Like a spec of dirt on a white sheet,

the jinxed marionette made joy obsolete.

It spread its dullness to all the others,

who would've been better without him to bother.

As I follow the puppeteer for his next act,

I hope he'll have that jinx sacked.

I pray he fights off the curse that lurk,

And to spread all joy he makes things work.....

Emend for good

We all make mistakes in life...some big some small. But irrespective of the type and gravtiy of mistake, some do pinch your soul and drives you towards correcting them. They say even thinking about correcting a mistake means you are halfway down there...but not really.., the path to rectify your mistakes are strenuous and nerve wracking and it offers no assurance of taking you towards your desired goal. But those who really want to try and emend, they would hardly care where it leads them to....its the cause which made them take this decision that that keeps them going.......

He stood atop the mountain and saw what's ahead,
The place where by his nature and attitude he we lead.
He looked at the path he had traversed till now,
And found some paths he avoided somehow.
One out of that was a raging stream,
Strenuous and deadly to cross it did seem.
Back towards the stream he started to move,
Though by this, he had nothing to prove.
He gazed at the stream and it gazed back,
Something it once had, now it did lack.
He tried to see to where it would lead,
And to it's current, he quietly paid heed.
The stream now looked like it was all new,
And resembled nothing he once knew.
The stream was wrapped in blankets of fog,
All this created havoc on his mind's cog.
He wanted to yell and soothe the pain,
But knew it would all go just in vain.
He couldn't tell how much it pinched or pained,
But surely it was really of his actions that rained.
He knew he had committed mistakes too grave,
And must bear all this by being brave.
He resolved in his mind what was left to do,
He will follow the stream no matter where to.
He roamed through the woods, ready to toil,
And searched for ways to fight inner turmoil.
To build a raft he made up his mind,
Also to face all troubles he find.
He knows that the raft might never survive,
Nor does he hope to get through alive.
With all his fears, he was in a bout,
To rectify his mistakes is this all about.
Stakes are high of loosing his dears,
In this fight against all his fears.
Winning or loosing doesn't matter a bit,
Because the stream and the journey are worth it.....
